Joey T...

(Joey Tuchrello) grew up in Webster, NY, and graduated from RL Thomas High School. From age 5 to about age 10, Joey remembers listening to Elvis morning, noon and night, thanks to his mother. He started playing guitar at age 8 and hated it, and the teacher told Joey's father that his fingers were too small and his attention span too short, and that probably he would never play guitar.

At age 13 he heard FREE BIRD by Lynyrd Skynyrd and got his father to buy him an electric guitar. Joey started to write his own songs as a teenager and eventually had two of his songs played on local radio stations in Rochester and Syracuse.

In 1988 he Founded Ruby Shooz, the most popular 50's show band in New York state.

After 10 years, Joey put together a his own band: Joey T and The Formula,  singing and playing the music he grew up with. Joey says: "Playing this music with this band feels much more natural!!!!"

Joey's musical influences: Lynyrd Skynyrd - Guitars; Gary Richrath "Reo Speedwagon" - Guitar; The Beatles: Song Writing; Steve Walsh "Kansas" Vocals; Burton Cummings "the Guess Who" Vocals.

Joey has had the opportunity to meet and speak with everyone on this list except of course the Beatles. "You don't have to be a rock star to be blessed musically," Joey says. "Playing music for people on this level is a blessing!!"
